An entire backyard filled with east-side hipsters can be heard chanting “Shanaynay, Shanaynay, Shanaynay” all the way across the Silverlake Reservoir. The star of their cry? Shana Rehwald, a Sherman Oaks native, who at that very moment is standing on top of a rusted picnic table in a gorgeous silk floral maxi, breaking it down to some of her very own rap stylings.
Shana, a Media Coordinator at BeachMint – the style powerhouse website whose celebrity collaborations include The Olsen Twins, Kate Bosworth and Rachel Bilson – has that quintessential cool-girl essence we all wish we possessed. This 5’2″ pint-sized beauty not only has innate style and grace, but she can bring down the house with her brazen feminist lyrics. Girlfriend to the Operations Director at Insomniac Events (Electric Daisy Carnival anyone?), Shana spends her weekends mingling at music industry parties and getting all-access passes to essentially any LA event #Jealous. We were lucky enough to steal 5 minutes of this lovely’s time. Read on to see what we learned!
Best thing about living in LA? Being able to walk down the street and see the Hollywood Sign and the Griffith Observatory in plain view.
Ideal Sunday Afternoon? Waking up and making a delicious breakfast (anything with eggs and coffee), eating it in the backyard, and then going on a walk through my Silverlake neighborhood.

Summer Style Essentials? Always always always high waisted jean shorts and sun dresses!
