It’s a sun-drenched Friday afternoon, topping off a week of heavenly end-of-spring weather in Gypsyland and we’re jonesin’ for a beach day!
As Memorial day continues to sneak up, marking the beginning of the summer season, the Gypsies plan to take advantage of the weekend and hit the sand to get a head start on our tans.
Armed with our favorite threads from the GJ Spring/Summer collection, our grooviest shades, and lots and lots of sunscreen, we’re in the mood for some fun in the sun!!

Brigitte Bardot’s gypsy-centric style has been turning heads and setting trends since the 1960′s when she first appeared on the silver screen in films such as “And God Created Woman” and “Contempt”.
Since then the beatnik-chic vixen has inspired everyone from singers and artists such as Bob Dylan and Andy Warhol to the Gypsies ourselves! We’re always pulling a little BB inspiration at the Gypsy loft and we’re definitely channeling her in our summer wardrobes full of lacey tunics, breezy maxi dresses, and boho-chic bracelets. We spend an embarrassing amount of time searching for “cool” photos on the internet – which we suppose is part of the job, however it’s excessive nonetheless. Recently, we decided it was time to wipe the hard drive of all this frivolousness. But, in our attempts to clean-shop we stumbled across too many treasures to just simply hit “delete” and lose them forever. So welcome, to the newest Gypsy Blog Series – Digital Archives, where we’ll share some of our digital delights and hope they are as inspiring to you as they have been to us.
Volume 1: Gypsy dream summer (in a bizarre utopian, hippie society where there is no need for productivity, cell phones or business suits).
Let’s begin, shall we . . .
We’d spend our time daisy chaining the day away. Preferably in a field at some obscure music festival.
Get really into new-age fitness. Underwater yoga and untraditional weight lifting – very hip right now.
Hitch hike with these folks, to outer-space apparently.
Actively search out this field, or this beach. Either would suffice. Then spend our days in a world of rose-colored lenses
Become best friends with the Lisbon girls.
Build and move into our new home.
Get in some serious Sun Worship
Oh and lastly spend more quality time with our spirit animal and best friend.

Yes, she may have be a fictional character, and yes, she may not have had the best judgement when it came to school, responsibility, boys, or really anything else for that matter – but my GOD that girl knew how to dress.
She was the empress of over-styling, yet somehow she always seemed utterly apathetic. How she managed to rock a full head of scrunchies, giant bauble earrings, and a massive flannel essentially every episode and still look viciously hip, will haunt us till the day we die.
